Meet Jordan DiPietro, Oracle Recruiter!
How do you as an individual contribute to the unique and desirable culture here at ALKU? I believe that in order to be successful at ALKU you need to be ready to rise to any challenge thrown your way. I started with a small turnaround group. We had maybe 5 jobs on the board and some of them had been up there for over a month. More jobs were wiped than filled. I’ve always been competitive, but I have to say I even surprised myself by how much I welcomed that challenge. This taught me to just keep my head down and trust the process because that’s what would take me to the top.
What has been your most significant accomplishment at ALKU? Winning Rookie of the year was by far my greatest accomplishment!
What has been one of your biggest challenges? Transitioning to a more “remote” position has been difficult. Most people assume communication would be the biggest struggle, but for me it’s been staying motivated. I don’t have a board with open times glaring at me anymore or another recruiter next to me working on the same job. I have to create my own motivation now, which can be tough at times.
What piece of advice would you give to a new employee? Stop reading this and go make dials.
Which ALKU employee would play you in a movie? Chris Drake
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a gold medal for? Napping
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives? I think everyone can benefit from getting out of their comfort zone and moving away from home!
