ALKU’s Fifth Annual Employee Baseball Game, Press Release

Herndon, VA-This year marked the fifth year for the annual ALKU employee baseball game at Nationals Park. Every year ALKU invites its employees to Nationals Park to enjoy a night of baseball, comradery and family fun. Each employee can invite any amount of family or friends to the event. ALKU’s purpose is simple, letting their employees know they matter, allowing them to network with other employees and getting to know all those that support them.

Building relationships with each employee is top priority at ALKU. When you work at ALKU you become a part of the ALKummunity. The ALKummunity offers a fun interactive company culture as well as a support system of people invested in your success. ALKU also focuses on stressing the importance of company transparency, open communication and strong employee relationships.

ALKU keeps its “Have Fun Working Hard” culture consistent throughout the year by hosting multiple employee recognition events that include monthly Happy Hours, employee lunches, a holiday party in December, and the Nationals Baseball Game. The baseball game is ALKU’s second biggest event that every employee looks forward to each year. This year over 150 employees were in attendance with the Philadelphia Phillies winning 12-2 against the Washington Nationals. The baseball game not only allows for a night of fun but is also a networking opportunity to meet other employees that work at different office locations.

“Hosting our employees at a Nationals game in DC is one of the highlights of the year for us.” Said Mike Ganley, Director ALKU Government. “We originally started this as way for folks to bring their family members to an ALKU hosted event, vs the normal lunch get-together during the week, and it resonated across many ALKU employees instantly. This event has grown so much over the years from 50 people attending to well over 200 employees and their family members this year. I’ve had the pleasure of getting the chance to introduce my family as well meet the families of our employees and it has been great. Showing the ALKU culture to our employees’ families is important to us as a company because they are also committed in the sacrifice that our employees make to come work with us and we are thankful for that.
