Life @ ALKU as a Payroll Administrator

The purpose of the Payroll Admin role is to aid the Payroll Team and collective internal departments in ensuring that ALKU’s biggest selling point holds true on a weekly basis: everyone gets paid accurately and on time. Responsibilities include but are not limited to onboarding of new internal and external employees in the payroll system. Set-up, and processing of payroll, calculating payments such as tracking bonuses, tax withholdings, deductions and more!

The Day to Day

  • Changes, updates, and communication
    • Direct deposit information
    • Personal information
    • External compensation
  • Payroll duties
    • Spreadsheet creation and maintenance for hours & expenses, per diem payments, remittances, and new-hire document tracking
    • Auditing of consultant information and maintaining the appropriate systems
    • Miscellaneous: like paying our corporations in Canada!
  • Creative Projects
    • Creation of new processes
    • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth flow of employee updates
    • Revenue specific projects – assisting new divisions with their various projects/issue
