On Saturday, September 24th, the ALKrew started the day by participating in the annual Rodman Ride for Kids!

Rodman Ride for Kid is an umbrella charity raising funds for youth-focused social-service organizations that support at-risk children in Massachusetts. ALKU rides for Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP), a non-profit that empowers youth-adult mentoring relationships across Massachusetts, impacting over 50,000 kids and young adults!

This was ALKU’s 11th year of fundraising and competing in the annual bike race for the kids! The ‘Krew had the option of gearing up for a 25 or 50-mile bike ride. Fundraising began in the summer and went through the beginning of the fall leading up to race day.

On September 14th, the Andover ‘Krew held a Rodman Ride Calling Hour where everyone spent the afternoon calling, sharing, and challenging each other to fundraise for MMP! In total, the Rodman Ride Calling Hour raised $42,366!

Beyond the Calling Hour, every Friday was Rodman Ride Prize Wheel Day! Employees would spin the prize wheel when they have raised $500 and again once they raise another $500!

Around this time, our Herndon ‘Krew was fundraising and preparing for BEST Kids Superhero 5K and Fun Run in Washington, D.C.

BEST Kids is a nonprofit mentoring organization in D.C. that empowers youth in foster care to build better futures.

This was ALKU’s 6th year of fundraising and competing in the annual fun run! Fundraising began in the summer and went through the beginning of the fall leading up to race day.

On September 21st, the Herndon ‘Krew held a calling hour where they raised a total of $13,566! The ALKrew surpassed its initial goal of raising $10K!

Additionally, the Herndon ‘Krew held a BEST Kids Prize Wheel Day every Friday leading up to race day! Thus far, the ‘Krew has raised $22,417 for the Kids!

Way to LVLUP ALKrew, and fantastic job to everyone involved!
