On Saturday, May 6th, the Herndon ALKrew participated in this year’s BEST Kids Superhero 5K and Fun Run in Washington, D.C.
BEST Kids is a nonprofit mentoring organization in D.C. that empowers youth in foster care to build better futures. This organization is close to the ALKrew’s heart, and this was ALKU’s 7th year of fundraising and competing in the annual fun run!
On Thursday, May 4th, the ALKrew joined in for Calling Hour for Best Kids in order to raise as much money as possible. During this time, games and competitions were occurring throughout the office. This year, the ALKrew has fundraised $17,877 for the kids!
We can’t wait to participate in next year’s BEST Kids Superhero 5K and Fun Run!
