DURHAM, NH — ALKU is proud to announce its partnership with the University of New Hampshire’s Diversity and Inclusion Employer Champion Program.
The Diversity and Inclusion Employer Champion Program recognize employer partners who demonstrate the utmost devotion to social justice and equality. With this program recognition, students can connect with organizations committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Partners are recognized at one of the two levels, a Rising Champion and a Champion. A Rising Champion meets four out of seven areas of criteria, whereas a Champion meets all seven.
ALKU’s recognition as a Champion reflects the diversity, equity, and inclusion commitment across the mission statement, retention and recruitment, data-driven goals, pay equity, business operations, community involvement, professional development and training, employee and leadership accountability, and internal programming events.
ALKU and the University of New Hampshire share diversity, equity, and inclusion values. ALKU is committed to honoring, understanding, and growing the ALKrew in order to foster a culture where each person is understood and celebrated that comes through ALKU’s doors. It’s recognized the role of the Diversity and Inclusion Employer Champion Program in connecting ALKU with students wanting to work for an organization that incentivizes DE&I efforts and creates a sense of belonging. Employer partners receive workplace and recruitment resources to expand diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and further workplace education.
This partnership is referenced ALKU’s diversity retention and recruitment within the DE&I council Attraction and Recruitment subcommittee. The subcommittee is responsible for increasing talent diversity through outreach to DE&I-focused student organizations on campuses. Leading this is ALKU’s College Relationship Specialists who’ve reached out to over one hundred diversity-focused student organizations and over forty different avenues within HBCUs nationwide. ALKU has made further strides in recruitment efforts, equipping leaders with the education and tools to sustain allyship across all areas of business.
