Saturday, September 25st, the ALKrew geared up in red and black for the Rodman Ride for Kids!

This year marks ALKU’s 10th year fundraising and biking in the Rodman Ride for Kids; an umbrella charity raising funds for youth-focused social-service organizations that support at-risk children in Massachusetts. ALKU rides for Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP), a non-profit that empowers youth-adult mentoring relationships across Massachusetts, impacting over 50,000 kids and young adults!

This year’s Rodman Ride gave us a feeling of nostalgia from 2019, seeing the riders gearing up at the starting line to bike 25 or 50 miles. Like every year, the ALKrew stopped at nothing to come through FOR THE KIDS!

The ALKrew has been fundraising for the Rodman Ride throughout the summer. During the Rodman Ride Calling Hour, the ALKrew spent the day calling, posting, and challenging each other to fundraise for MMP! The day kicked off with a company-wide zoom call to get everyone pumped up.

Groups and individuals challenged each other to see who could raise the most in a day with prizes being more money donated to each other’s pages. From push-up challenges to a bid of over $2,000 to shave your head or get a pie in your face, the ALKrew was motivated for the kids! Social, text, and fundraising templates were provided to the whole ALKrew to help them fundraise! The top fundraiser individual fundraiser was Senior Pharmaceutical QVC & RS Sales Manager, Charles Nevejans. In total, the ALKrew raised $26,105 during Calling Hour!

Beyond the Calling Hour, every Wednesday was Rodman Ride Prize Wheel Day! The prize wheel spinners are awarded gift cards to local spots such as LaRosas, Shawsheen Luncheonette, Perfectos, and New Englander favorite, Dunkin Donuts. Employees can spin the prize wheel when they’ve raised $500, $1,000, and $2,000 for the Rodman Ride! Everyone loves to gather around on Wednesday afternoons and see who’s spinning the prize wheel!

Thank you to all of our friends, families, and networks for participating in our fundraiser through our ALKU Gives Back program.

Beyond our employees, we are so appreciative to have some of our clients and consultants participate in our fundraiser through our ALKU Gives Back program. This program allows our consultants to elect for a percentage of their weekly pay, for the entirety of their work or a selected period, to go towards ALKU’s efforts in supporting the mentoring cause.

Great work to all involved! We are honored to give back to a cause that means so much to us.
