ALKU is thrilled to announce that we have been recognized by Boston Business Journal’s 2022 Top Charitable Contributors in Massachusetts for the fourth year. This annual list highlights companies that promote and prioritize giving back to their communities.

Each year, the list recognizes the most charitable companies in Massachusetts- the alphabetical list of 95 companies who gave $100,000 or more cash contributions gave a combined $322 million in cash contributions last year. It is a great honor to have ALKU’s passion for philanthropy and the local community recognized on this prestigious list.

ALKU is dedicated to the youth mentoring cause. ALKU’s Andover, MA headquarters is partnered with Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP) which helps fuel “the movement to expand empowering youth-adult relationships across Massachusetts, serving more than 250 mentoring and youth development programs statewide, and supporting more than 33,000 youth in mentoring relationships” (MMP). ALKU supports MMP through multiple initiatives, including our ALKU Scholarship, which this year grants $30,000 to two rising high school seniors in a youth-adult mentoring relationship for their college education. ALKU fundraises for and participates in the Rodman Ride for Kids annually. Additionally, individuals from the ALKrew participate in the Boston Marathon to support MMP. This past year, Kayla Regan and Pat Bolton participated and raised over $30,000 for MMP. Beyond that, ALKU supports the mentoring cause by pairing everyone from first-day interns to executives with a mentor, strengthening our employees’ understanding and commitment to the overall cause.

We sat down with some members of the ALKrew and asked why they give back. They said, “ALKU gives to support and help strengthen its community. Whether it’s giving back time through volunteering and resources or giving funds to local nonprofits, ALKU is always looking to make an impact – no matter how big or small”.

Thank you, Boston Business Journal, for this outstanding recognition. All nominees were honored at the BBJ’s Corporate Citizenship Awards on Thursday, September 8th, at the Revere Hotel Boston Commons. We look forward to a continued future of supporting the youth mentoring cause in our local community.
