ANDOVER, MA– ALKU, a highly specialized staffing firm, has officially opened its eighth annual ALKU Scholarship today. Founded in 2015, the scholarship serves to directly impact the life of a local student who is engaged in a mentoring relationship. ALKU expanded its outreach within the mentoring community by creating the scholarship alongside Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP). The ALKU Scholarship benefits a rising high school senior in Massachusetts that has been positively impacted by a lifechanging mentoring relationship.
ALKU supports the mentoring cause and MMP, through several internal and external initiatives, the ALKU Scholarship being one of ALKU’s most impactful and powerful programs. The ALKU Scholarship is a $30,000 college scholarship for a rising high school senior who has been engaged in a positive and empowering youth-adult relationship for at least one full year.
For the first time, ALKU is extending two $30,000 scholarships in celebration of MMP’s 30-year anniversary. Created by ALKU’s CEO, Founder, and MMP Board Member, Mark Eldridge, this scholarship provides an opportunity for young adults to apply for financial support in pursuit of their goal to attend college, gain immense knowledge and obtain a bachelor’s degree.
The two ALKU Scholarship recipients will demonstrate community involvement, hard-work, leadership experience, and financial need. This scholarship has increased by 50% from $20,000 in 2020.
The two-scholarship recipient will gain access to the ALKU community as an additional support system. The individuals will be mentored throughout their entire time in college, entering the workforce, and beyond.
