She has helped to develop new recruiters in the Medical Device brand, facilitate a variety of companywide meetings, and be a positive role model for new members of the ALKrew.

Desiree has had an amazing influence on ALKU’s Have Fun Working Hard™ culture and has been a leading force behind creating a more diverse community companywide. Desiree is a part of the ALKU Women Empowered, Unity, and Parents Employee Resource Groups. Additionally, she has helped to set up volunteer opportunities within the Medical Device brand.

In her new role, Desiree will be responsible for the growth and development of the Medical Device & Diagnostic recruiting team. She will continue to work alongside the Medical Device Management team to expand the brand and contribute to the progression of success for all divisions in Medical Device.

Congratulations, Desiree! We can’t wait to see all you accomplish in this new role!

“What do I say about the girl who has it all? I am SOOOO happy to be writing this promotion quote. Of course, I am biased because I am fortunate to work next to Desiree every day, but she really is a superstar. She is self-motivated, caring, competitive, respectful, passionate, the list could keep going.  I will never forget when this sweet, soft-spoken girl started with us back in 2019 sat me down and told me she wanted to be the first, African American woman revenue manager. Well, Desiree, you did it! YOU did it. To see how you not only push yourself but everyone around you to be the best version of themselves is truly special. This is what will make you a fantastic leader. To on a roadmap, have a baby, care the way you do about the group and your employees – you earned every bit of this promotion, Desiree. Proud is an understatement and I know I will be writing one of these again for you. Congratulations Des!!!! <3 “- Alex Parenteau

“When I first met Desiree, I asked her what she wanted to become at ALKU. Her response was “I want to become the first female, African American, revenue leader”. Well, Des here I am writing your promotion for that BUT also so much more. Since day 1 you have come in and done absolutely everything that has been asked for you. You are ambitious, passionate, and fearless. You have found your voice at ALKU and are such an inspiration to others. Just when I didn’t think you could do more, you went and started a family but quickly bounced back better (& badder) than ever. Watching you make a name for yourself while developing future stars has been incredible to witness. Your commitment to ALKU, to your brand, and to your employees deserves this promotion. Congrats to you Des… never stop breaking down barriers for yourself and others <3” -Kristina Zoto

“If you don’t know Desiree yet, put that on your to do list. She really is one of a kind. When Desiree started in 2019, we knew we were fortunate right away. She was eager, driven, hungry, and energetic. She would constantly ask for more and had the most genuine want to learn over anyone I’ve met. Over the years her confidence has been building, which in turn built her passion. Any conversation with Desiree over the past year, has left me in awe. I always knew she had an “it” factor, but something special has grown in Desiree and she’s now one of the most impressive people at ALKU. She’s not only concerned with how to get her teams dials up, but she’s thinking about all the ways she can make the company a better place. She has big ideas and she’s not afraid to speak up. She’s an advocate for change in all the right places, and we value her more than she will ever know.

Desiree, I wrote in your card two weeks ago that you recently brought me to tears. It won’t be the last time. It’s emotional knowing the original Med team is still thriving, even when I’ve stepped away for years now. It’s an honor to have the torch passed again to you, I know you are going to do great things with QVC. Watching you become a mom both inside AND outside of work has been so motivating. You are a role model to many, me included. I’m so happy for you, I’m so proud of you. Congratulations on MANAGER!!”-Patricia Blanchard
