What is your favorite podcast?
Unpopular opinion, but I don’t have a favorite podcast. Anytime I try to get into one, I find myself wanting to listen to music instead.
Who would you want to have coffee with?
Kim Kardashian! Now, before people roll their eyes, Kim Kardashian is largely responsible for the rise of social media and influencer marketing. She not only changed the way that we as consumers use social media but how we as businesses use social media. Kim is known for taking risks, not staying in her ‘lane’, and pursuing her passions, all of which I find inspiration in.
What ERGs are you a part of?
I am a part of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Council, where I sit on the Communication Committee. Additionally, I am part of AWE and State of Mind.

Are you involved in giving back to your local community?
Yes! For the past two years, I have taken advantage of our Volunteer Time Off program and volunteered at the election polls. In 2020, I felt defeated and helpless, so I looked for a way to put my emotions towards something positive, that would help on a larger scale. I decided to volunteer at the polls as a way to ensure that even in a time of crisis, there was still access to one of our basic fundamental rights, the right to vote. It’s something I now look forward to every year and hope to continue as long as I can. Oh, and, get out there and VOTE!

How do you Have Fun Working Hard™?
By trying not to take myself, or my work, too seriously. I think it’s important to create an environment where the marketing team is comfortable being themselves, where we celebrate one another, and we make sure to have fun along the way. The reason why I love my job so much is because of the people I am surrounded with every day – they truly allow me to have fun while working hard!
What is your biggest career advice?
Be curious, ask questions, and take risks! Part of my journey here at ALKU was getting myself involved in as many things as possible, especially when it meant stepping outside of my comfort zone. My second would be to know who you are and what you bring to the table. Lean into your strengths, harness them, and sharpen them as often as possible. Then, surround yourself with people whose strengths are your weaknesses. You’re then not only creating a well-rounded environment but you’re creating an environment where you are constantly learning and growing from those around you.
