The Joe Rogan Experience. He always has a ton of different guests from all over ranging from entertainers to scientists, and there is always something interesting they are discussing.

What ALKU Gives Back events or programs have you participated in?
I have participated in quite a few, but my favorite is fundraising for the Rodman Ride for Kids (raised the most two years in a row at one point) its something that nearly the whole company participates in, and it is pretty cool to be part of a fundraiser that consistently raises over $100K for a great cause.

What app can’t you live without?
Fantasy Sports. You don’t become a champion multiple times using a desktop.
What is your favorite office lunch spot?
Dags Deli, my go-to order is a turkey and buffalo chicken on a bulkie roll.

What is your biggest career advice?
Make sure you enjoy what you are doing. If you don’t like what you are doing all the time and effort you put in is for nothing.
John’s Bio:
Jon Martel started with ALKU in January of 2013. He was one of the “pioneers” of the Corporate team at ALKU and because of that, his fingerprints are on a lot of processes that have provided a strong foundation for success. During those early years, individuals were departments, and they juggled many responsibilities that today, fit nicely into well-staffed groups. Because of this, Jon has a vast knowledge of the inner workings throughout all of ALKU and that is not limited to just the Corporate side.
Most importantly of all, Jon has developed a strong, growing team that contributes greatly to the Have Fun Working Hard™ culture at ALKU. In his role as Senior Director of Finance, Jon continues to advance the Finance and Accounting team’s mission of being a valued business partner to all at ALKU.
