Monique started her ALKU career in 2013 as a Recruiter and transitioned to being the first Client Services Administrator in 2015. This transition led her to her true calling, known as Cash Management. Monique’s passion shines through, and her dedication to her team is undeniable. She leads by example and transfers her knowledge to her team, setting them up for success. Monique is the ultimate team player and role model.

Since day one, Monique has embraced ALKU’s Have Fun Working Hard® culture, and she takes advantage of ALKU’s Volunteer opportunities. For example, Monique has ridden in the Rodman Ride for Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP), partakes in Quarterly meetings, and volunteers with ALKU’s Employee Resource Groups such as ALKU’s Parents Group and ALKU Women Empowered (AWE). Additionally, she is a part of the Morning Workout Committee, a Futures Mentor and was a recipient of the 2017 CEO Choice Award.

In Monique’s new role, she will continue to oversee the Cash Application and Reconciliation departments, with Devon Cassidy managing the Cash Reconciliation Department. She will continue to lead the charge in streamlining Cash processes and thinking of creative ways to automate these processes. Monique will participate in client conference calls to resolve outstanding posting issues. She will continue to promote relationships with the corporate and revenue teams to help with problem resolution.  She will continue to handle monthly stats and reporting. And most importantly, she will train and mentor her team to help promote the next level of management.

Congratulations, Monique! We can’t wait to see all you accomplish in this new role!

“When I think of Monique O’Brien, I think of someone hard-working, supportive, competitive, funny, and passionate.  Monique is the type of person that gives 100% to everything she does.  I have had the pleasure of working with Monique for the last 8.5 years.  She was a recruiter when we started working together.  She took a chance and transitioned over to Corporate in 2015 and found her calling when she decided to try her hand at Cash Posting, and the rest is history!! She started as a one-woman show and now manages a team of 4, responsible for posting on average $10M per week! Monique’s attention to detail and process-driven nature has helped the Cash Team handle a lot of curve balls over the years.  When the Pandemic hit, she had to pivot and think of all new processes for her team to post cash, and they didn’t miss a beat!   She leads by example and is a natural problem solver.  Her work ethic has created and mentored a hard-working, collaborative team that everyone enjoys interacting with!   She is someone who thinks about the big picture and how her role/department affects others.  She is passionate about her job and even more passionate about her team! She has created a well-oiled machine otherwise known as The Cash Team! I look forward to seeing Monique take the Cash Application and Reconciliation teams to the next level!  Congratulations on this well-deserved promotion to Senior Manager Monique!!!” -Jeanine Morgan

“Over the last six years, I have had the pleasure of working with Mo, and I have always been impressed with her consistency during that time.  Mo has that old-school mindset of doing whatever it takes to get the job done.  She showed it as an individual contributor posting all the weekly cash on her own (including the infamous Friday Kelly payment).  And she has displayed it and instilled it in the development of her team.  I have heard countless stories of the cash team working late to post cash “on time”, once even AFTER a group BBQ at Walt’s house.  This is NOT because Mo told them to.  I wouldn’t be surprised if she told them not to, and they did it anyway. They do it because they will do whatever it takes to get the job done.  They do it because they’ve seen their boss do it.  They do it because it’s easy to work hard for someone that works hard.  And they do it because they greatly respect their leader, who would do anything for them.  Cash can fly under the radar, but it’s as true a team as any at ALKU.  One that Mo built.   Congrats on your promotion Mo. It’s very well deserved.” -Marc Cirrone

“Mo has always been a rockstar; there is no other way to put it. She has always thrown herself at any challenge without any complaints and gets things done no matter what it is. She has gone from solving some of the most difficult cash posting problems to building two separate teams with leaders that are now starting to create their own teams!  They are lucky to have a passionate, caring, and understanding leader with Monique! There is no better person to be in charge of so much cash! You have been a blast to work with these past nine years, Mo, and I can’t wait to see what you do in this new Sr Manager role, Congrats!!!”  -Jon Martel
