What was one thing you learned during your internship that helped you the most when you transitioned full-time?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve gotten that’s stuck with me over these last four years is, “If you listen more than you talk, you will be successful.” It’s a nice reminder to always be a sponge, no matter your role or level.
When did you begin your full-time ALKU career? What was your first role?
When I first joined ALKU in June 2019, I was a Medical Device QVC Recruiter.
What does a day in your role look like?
My day constantly varies, and that’s part of the reason I love my job so much! I spend most of my time problem-solving, prospecting, walking clients through the hiring process, talking with consultants across the country, and collaborating with our Recruiting, Operations, Marketing, and Billing teams. Every day looks different, and I am always so excited to come to work and see what’s in store for me.
What is your favorite part about being a Business Development Manager?
There are a lot of things I love about my role. If I had to pick one, I would say dealing with different situations and people on a daily basis always keeps me on my toes. You never know what the day will have in store for you when you walk through the door, which always keeps me motivated and excited to come to work. I also love to work with others on my team; it’s awesome to lead by example while still learning from them.

Fast-paced, challenging, and lucrative!
If someone is interested in pursuing a career as a Business Development Manager, what is one piece of advice you would give them?
If someone wants to be a Business Development Manager or succeed in any role, I would say to remember that success doesn’t happen overnight. If you come in with a good attitude and give it your all, day after day, you will eventually hit your goals and make a ton of money doing so! Hard work and patience are key, so don’t let yourself get discouraged, and keep up the grind!
