Vice President, Sales Strategy

James started with ALKU as an Intern in 2012. He became a full-time employee in 2013 and grew into one of the company’s top Account Managers before becoming a Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, then Director. James has displayed the ability to develop and train individuals to help them reach their max potential by going above and beyond daily. In addition, he demonstrates a positive outlook and approach, which is contagious to the entire company. As Vice President of Sales Strategy, James is responsible for the strategic acquisition, retention, and penetration of client accounts across ALKU. Additionally, he is in charge of implementing new sales initiatives, providing unique access, reporting for sales data, supporting technology, and marketing related to revenue.

How do you “Have Fun Working Hard®”?
I Have Fun Working Hard® by being in the office and trying to get the volume up whenever possible! Nothing makes me happier than hearing the buzz in the office and being a part of it. Celebrating employees’ success with a deal song or a chant will never get old.

What is your favorite way to get involved at ALKU:
My favorite way to get involved at ALKU is by being a part of our ERGs and helping to support ALKU’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mission. In addition, I am a part of ALKU’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, Unity, and State of Mind. These groups have made me feel closer to my coworkers and the company.

What is your day-to-day life like outside of ALKU:
Outside of ALKU, I love checking out new restaurants around Boston and traveling whenever possible. At home, I have two Labradoodles, Frankie and Tyson. A fun fact about me is that I am obsessed with space. So if there is a crazy night sky, you can most likely find me outside with my telescope.
