Marissa Meyer

Director, Talent Acquisition

Marissa started her ALKU career as a Recruiting Intern in 2013. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 2014, she joined ALKU full-time as a Recruiter. A core member of ALKU’s Talent pillar, she was the first official member of what is now ALKU’s Talent Acquisition team. Today, Marissa oversees the Internal Recruiting Department and the College Relationship Department; she closely works with her teams to build and maintain a strategy that allows ALKU to achieve company hiring goals while delivering a great experience to all candidates and new hires.

How do you “Have Fun Working Hard®”?
Developing a specific X + Y + Z = Having Fun Working Hard® formula is hard. I say this because ALKU’s culture naturally builds and molds itself to its employees.  I have a blast brainstorming, collaborating, thinking, and celebrating with my coworkers. No matter what, ALKU makes work feel less like work and more like an exciting opportunity.

What is your favorite way to get involved at ALKU?
I am a huge fan of quality one-on-one time with employees I don’t get the chance to work closely with regularly. Whether catching up over lunch with a coworker from a different department or traveling to the other ALKU office locations, remaining present in some way, shape, or form is essential to me! I’m also an active member of ALKU’s DE&I Team, focusing on demographic reporting.

What is your day-to-day life like outside of ALKU?
When I’m not on Zoomin’ or Slackin’, I love spending time with my husband, my nephew, and all of my family and friends. Utilizing more of the right side of my brain, I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen, trying to make meals out of whatever’s left in the pantry and fridge!
