BOSTON, MA — ALKU is proud to announce its partnership with the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce

The Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce cultivates inclusive relationships between LGBT-owned businesses and the corporate sector powered by hundreds of LGBT-owned businesses to drive economic impact throughout the Commonwealth. In the three years since its inception, the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce has made great strides in creating large and small opportunities for its partners. The most notable being connecting the Chamber’s partners with the LGBTQIA+ community.

ALKU and the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce share diversity, equity, and inclusion values. ALKU is committed to honoring, understanding, and growing the ALKrew in order to foster a culture where each person is understood and celebrated that comes through ALKU’s doors. It’s recognized the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s role in driving innovative practices and creating a safe space so that the ALKrew are not only the best businesspeople they can be, but the best humans they can be.

We are only going to survive this pandemic by working together. There is no time for exclusion anymore. The time is now to make a change within the staffing industry. Everyone around the world is seeking employment, no matter their race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. ALKU stands by our mission to offer the opportunity to Have Fun Working Hard , to everyone who walks through our doors. This is a huge win to both our PRIDE ERG, and more importantly, our LGBTQIA2S+ community. I am extremely proud of ALKU for truly taking a stand for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. This is only the beginning,– Parker Phillips, DE&I Coordinator.

The Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce drives ERG development, panel discussions, supplier diversity, and connects ALKU with fellow partners within the Chamber. The Chamber’s substantial networking hub recruits and employs directly from the LGBTQIA2S+ community.  Meetings are held with DE&I representatives from all of the partners within the chamber, where representatives brainstorm, collaborate, and understand how to best help one another. Among the Chamber’s partners are CVS Health, State Street, Google, TD Bank, Jet Blue, TJX, and Boston Pride. All partners have a shared goal in mind: diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

“We at the Chamber are more than excited to welcome ALKU as our newest partner. We are making a concentrated effort to expand our footprint in Western Massachusetts, and ALKU's presence in Amherst means this new partnership will be pivotal in reaching new members of our community. The goal of LGBTQ+ economic equality is one we all strive for, and we are proud that ALKU has joined us on our mission,” - Grace Moreno, Executive Director of the MALGBTCC
